In a market which is growing 15% per year, he is enthusiastic about expanding his business. A new feed mill from De Heus, an animal nutrition company, near Yangon will help support this growth.

The first De Heus feed mill was erected in just eight months to provide competitively priced premium quality feed for Htun and farmers like him across the country. Htun will also visit the factory to learn more about feed strategies at seminars and training courses to help the success of his business.

The mill, currently operating at 50% capacity, can rapidly expand to produce up to 240,000 metric tonnes of poultry, swine and cattle feed per year

Growth curve

In close consultation with the regional De Heus’ headquarters based in Vietnam, Royal HaskoningDHV designed and managed the project through our regional design and engineering hub in Vietnam, while our Myanmar operation provided on-ground procurement and construction management services. The animal feed mill, currently operating at 50% capacity, can rapidly expand to produce up to 240,000 metric tonnes of poultry, swine and cattle feed per year in order to meet the expected strong market growth of Myanmar. Htun hopes to be part of that exciting growth curve.
